Check Out Our New Chrysler Town & Country Inventory In Salt Lake City
Receiving a significant refresh for the 2011 year, Chrysler's Town & Country continues to be the
luxury standard for the minivan market. The mostly revised interior, new exterior and the new engine are welcome upgrades. There's no doubt about it, Chrysler is aggressively pursuing dominance in this market. And the new 2011 Chrysler Town & Country doesn't disappoint.
Although minivans are not known for fuel economy, the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country features a wonderful eco leaf button that lights up to a pleasant green hue when drivers are operating the vehicle in an economically efficient manner. Fuel economy is 16 miles per gallon city and 23 miles per gallon highway. Now for some great news, no matter how hard we pushed this vehicle, its engine and performance held up. We were very pleased with the reasonable, fade-resistant braking and solid body roll control. The side-to-side manual control works well and can be easily operated while both hands remain on the wheel. The new 3.6-liter V-6 is certainly a proven performer. Additionally, the suspension has been retuned with a nice result.
The subtle upgrades to the exterior of the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country make it distinctive from previous models. The new grille is pleasing to the eye with its brushed sliver and polished chrome. The sweeping new wing logo dominates the tailgate. The new roof rack has cleverly designed stowaway crossbars, which add to the overall pleasing look of the redesign. The redesigned wheels and side moldings and LED tail lamps provide a dynamic look to the Town & Country. Chrysler kept the popular integrated side door tracks, a good idea since they worked so well. Other exterior features include standard 16-inch wheels (17-inch wheels optional), standard power-sliding side doors, standard SmartBeam headlights, standard power liftgate, a roofrack with crossbars, and standard rain-sensing windshield wipers.
The interior of the new 2011 Chrysler Town & Country can be described in just one word - luxurious. The real metal trim and soft-touch leather steering wheel comes complete with a set of high-quality switches and available heated rim.
The three row seating arrangement is well-trimmed and spacious. The Town & Country also offers a premium in-car entertainment system. It's no exaggeration to say you've got it all here. The all-new dashboard is understated gloss and features grained materials and a new instrument panel as well.
Not leaving good enough alone, the Stow 'n Go seats have also received an upgrade. You can now fold them into the floor with one-touch operation, and back up again too. The seats are also larger and more comfy than previous models. The optional power-folding 60/40, one-touch, third row seat and second row bucket seats means that you can truly choose the type of minivan that suits your family's needs best. Of course it comes with lots of storage throughout the interior including bins, pockets, a dual glove compartment and sliding console that hides a power outlet.
Other interior features include standard rear air conditioning controls, standard cloth and optional leather upholstery, optional 9-inch overhead dual DVD screens, an optional navigation system, optional second and third-row window shades and an optional heated steering wheel.
The 2011 Town & Country is available in four trim levels including a new entry-level LX model
available with the same 6-speed automatic transmission and 3.8 liter V6 OHV engine in all four levels, the Touring, Touring Plus, and the Walter P. Chrysler Signature Series, which features a rear back up camera, all season Touring tires, 17-inch Platinum Chrome Aluminum wheels.
The 2011 Chrysler Town & Country is elegant and refined. This is the most substantial mid-cycle upgrade that Chrysler has attempted. And it has been a big success. Even luxury car owners will have to admit, the materials inside the Town & Country are impressive.
